Angels are four-dimensional creatures, and an immortal race to which gods assign part of their domain to manage and symbolise, to get some of the load off their godly responsibilities, and in that case it gets called an archangel, or that they just use as messengers or soldiers; an angel can be either created by the god, or it can be an ascended mortal that the god would like to reward after their death, most angels are ascended mortals.
An angel retains part of their patron god domain magic, meaning that some are able to also cast spells over the mortal circle limit of the ninth circle.
Ever since the Great Fall most gods prefer to keep their angels under a spell that aligns them with their will to avoid further fallings.
Falling
An angel is considered a fallen angel the moment their connection to their patron god is severed, either by the god itself, or by a major force, such as the death of the god, a fallen angel still retains their angelic magic, but most likely not their domain magic, as it came from the patron god they are disconnected from.
Fallen angels are still immortal, but the mortal circle limit still applies to them, whatever plane they are in.
Archangel
An archangel is an angel that the god has assigned a sub-domain to, to manage and symbolise, an archangel’s duty is similar to the one of a god, assuring that nothing goes wrong regarding their domain, the only difference being that if they die, the domain goes back to the god, not causing any havoc like the death of an actual god would.
Spread
Most angels live in the Celestial plane, but some are assigned to the protection of the borders between planes, and most fallen angels are instead found on the Mortal plane or the Infernal plane
Mixing with mortals
Despite being four dimensional, angels can actually produce offspring with tridimensional and mortal beings, the offspring will be the race of the mortal parent, but also a demiangel.
If the angel parent is instead a fallen angel, the offspring will be half a demonic race depending on the mortal parent’s race, and they will be be considered angelic half-demons.
